James O'Connor
64, of Crown Point, passed away Saturday, February 04, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 21yrs, Lois Jean, children, Anthony of FL, Michael (Erika) of NY, Leslie of ID, Christina (Carl) Cullins, of KY, Jamie (Emil) Banzhaf of CO, proud grandfather of, Tyler O'Connor, Callie and Cameron Cullins, Evan, Avery and Charlotte Banzhaf. Siblings, Joseph (Shirley), Patricia (Bud) Decker, Barb (Pete) McLaughlin, Mary (Bill) Hurley and sisters-in-law, Margie O'Connor and JoEllen Crisan, parents-in-law, Glen and Joan Miller, brother-in-law, David Miller and best friend, Spoolie Bondra. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Nola and brother, Bill. Jim was a member of Lowell First United Methodist Church, a US Army Vietnam Veteran and retired Millright with Inland-Mittal Steel after 30yrs. Visitation will be Monday, February 6th from 4-8 at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E. Commercial Ave. in Lowell with Funeral Services, Tuesday, 11AM at First United Methodist Church, 520 E. Commercial Ave. in Lowell. Burial will follow in Lake Prairie cemetery with Pastor Bill Dunfee officiating all services. Memorial Contributions may be made to the church or Vitas Hospice. www.sheetsfuneral.com
