Edward J. Lau
90, of Lowell, IN and formerly of S. Holland, IL, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; children Joseph (Laurie), Michael, both of Lowell and Nancy of Chicago; grandchildren, Jackie and Katie Lau, Christopher and Phillip Schlosberg, great grandson Kody and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by daughter in law, Kimberly and siblings Florence and John. Edward was a WWII Army Air Force Veteran, as well as a Dolton Volunteer Fireman, a retired Machinist with ACME/Inter Lake Steel an avid NASCAR fan and member of Lowell's St. Edward Catholic Church. Visitation, Friday April 27, from 4-8 at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E. Commercial Ave., Lowell. Funeral Mass, Saturday, 11AM at his church 216 S. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Betty and the entire family. What a great guy Ed was. He sure had a sense of humor. Always loved visiting with him, Betty and their dog. He will be greatly missed. Sending our prayers and love from our family.

I'd like to convey My Condolences to the Lau Family. Ed was a swell guy, funny and a great asset to the ACME Machine Shop. Ed and I worked on many jobs, he the Machinist & I the Welder. Many a Coffee Break we had together, I'll always remember Ed and his story's. Rest in Peace My Friend.
