Tribute & Message From The Family

Catherine Roberts
Passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on Friday, March 30, 2018. Catherine was born June 15, 1922 in Yankeetown, IN, to the late Herman and Edna Collins. Also preceding her in death were her loving husband, Paul W. Roberts and sisters, Maureen Van Winkle and Eileen Summers. Left to cherish her memory are brother, Hugh (Ruth) Collins; son, Dave (Charmaine) Roberts; daughter, Patty (Bob Kispert) Roberts; grandchildren, Eric (Emily) Roberts, Daniel (Jantina) Roberts, Mandalay Roberts, Palmer Roberts, Erik Wilson, and Ryan (Laury) Nestor, Justin (Becky) Nestor; Erik, Isak, and Anna Kispert; great grandchildren, Tegan and Tyeis Roberts, Desmond and Aria Roberts, Layla, Henley, and Piper Nestor. Fond Aunt of the Roberts family and the Collins and Van Winkle families of the Evansville area. Catherine will be remembered for her love and dedication to her family and friends. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church of Lowell and Newburgh. Catherine will be remembered not for what she did (although she did a lot often volunteering through the church to help others and the community) but for who she was. She was a Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, and Friend who was the model of a loving, caring, patient, gracious, understanding, and nurturing human being. By her very nature, she brought forward the virtues of her own parents…integrity, morality, empathy, gratefulness for what one has, being non-judgmental, advocating for those less fortunate, and unconditional love…and instilled these values in her own family and those around her. We would all do well to think of her often and try very hard to manifest these values in our own lives. When everyone at Hartsfield Village, her home for the past several years, said she was "always put together" they meant hair and makeup and clothes, and we know it was that and so much more. Visitation, Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 9-11AM, Funeral Service 11AM all at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E. Commercial Ave, Lowell, IN. Burial will take place in Lowell Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Mary Van Wijk officiating.
